Dr. Dan Patterson, a member of the Board of Regents for Eastern New Mexico University, is a noted educator with 48 years in education that includes serving as superintendent or assistant superintendent. He was twice named Personnel Administrator of the Year by the New Mexico Coalition of Educational Leaders. In 1998, he was recognized by Gov. Gary Johnson for his anti-violence education program in the Las Cruces schools. He earned his doctorate degree in educational administration at California Coast University. He is also a U.S. Navy veteran.
