Rob Martinez is the State Historian based in Santa Fe, a native of New Mexico and raised in Albuquerque where he graduated from the University of New Mexico with a bachelor's degree in International Business Management and a master's degree in Latin American History. He was a history teacher at Rio Rancho High School for 10 years, and has presented papers and lectures throughout the Southwest. He served as the Deputy State Historian for six years prior to becoming the State Historian in 2019. He is also a folk musician, performing New Mexican Hispanic music with his father and brother for 20 years, known as the Los Reyes de Albuquerque Trio.

Matthew Gonzales a natural resources and public policy/relations consultant with more than a decade of experience in New Mexico will talk about the Consumer Energy Alliance. As a public relations specialist, Matthew works to coordinate legisla-tive efforts among state, local, and federal governments, and prepare policy pro-posals which represent member and industry interests. He is actively involved in his community of Cimarron, New Mexico by serving on the Village Council, School Board, and Municipal League Board of Directors. Matthew is also a Veteran of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
