Del Norte Foundation

Our Board of Directors is comprised of 9 individuals, each of whom has many years of experience in: 

      • Non-profit organizations,

      • Finance and Investments, 

      • Legal, and 

      • Organizational management. 

 

The individual Board of Directors for 2023-2024 are:

In past years, the Del Norte Rotary Club has sponsored fund-raising events, and the proceeds have been given to our Foundation to fund Grants.  Every year the foundation takes the proceeds from these events, adds them to the earning from our permanent fund, and uses that money to fund grants.   

 

Each year the Foundation typically provides annual grants totaling $4080,000 to various charitable organizations in New Mexico.  Since its inception, the Rotary Del Norte Foundation has given grants totaling almost two million dollars to various charitable organizations in our community.   

 

The recipients of our grants typically fall into one of the following six categories: 

     • Veterans and First Responders

     • Domestic and Family Violence Prevention

     • Youth Development • Hunger prevention

     • Shelter and Support for the Homeless

     • Education and Literacy 

 

Once a year the Club hosts a “Grant Recipient Recognition Ceremony”, where each recipient-organization is invited to a special Club meeting to give a very short presentation explaining what the charity does in our community, who they serve, and the impact that our grant will have on the people they serve.  For many organizations our grant has a profound impact on what they are able to accomplish in our communities.

 The Rotary Del Norte Foundation has had a dramatic impact in the lives of the people living in New Mexico communities.
